Ramazzotti (Per Incanto-Suzie The Cat by O’Reilly) gave Per Incanto his 25th stakes performer and 13th for the current season with her third in the Listed (1100m) Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre Stakes at Te Rapa on Saturday.
Having just her second start, after winning on debut at Pukekohe, the JML Bloodstock bred and raced filly’s latest performance looks a good barometer of black-type form.
The winner Rainbow Dash had finished second in the Gr.2 Matamata Breeders Stakes while the runner-up, Whiskey Neat, is a Gr.3 winner who started favourite in the Karaka Million.
Ramazzotti joins an exciting line-up of talented Per Incanto juveniles this term that include the likes of Gr.3 runner-up Hasstobegood (Per Incanto-Don’t Dilly Dally by Howbaddouwantit) and Glenda Goodwitch (Per Incanto-Turf Fire by O’Reilly).
