What a great day for the relations of Little Avondale's breeding stock in the G1 feature at Awapuni on Saturday, the Sires Produce Stakes.
First Nightlign (Align - Indian Squaw), is out of a Caroligian mare who stood at LA Stud.
Second Fluer De'Here (Dehere - Fleur de chine). Fleur de chine was bred and sold by LA Stud to Gary Plowman for $80,000.
Third Alamosa (O'Reilly - Lodore Mystic). Lodore Mystic was bred and sold be LA Stud to PD O'Sullivan for $80,000
Unfortunatly there were no other horses in the field with an LA connection!
In one of the other features on the card, the Oaks Stud Manawatu Classic G3, LA Stud was once again represented very well by a sale graduate this time.
Pasta Post (Postponed - Blue Heaven) was sold by LA Stud on behalf of Fayette Park for $21,000 to G Sanders.
Continuing on the sale graduates theme and from the same draft as Pasta Post was the third placegetter, in the G1 BMW Stakes at Sydney, Gorky Park (Montjeu - Steluta). Gorky Park was sold by LA for $360,000 on behalf of Ricky Savory to Les Samba.
LA Stud will be watching closely Splashing Out and Grand Dancer at Randwick in two of the feature races on Saturday
