Nadeem (Redoute's Choice) notched his 5th individual Stakes winner on Sunday when Tajmeel powered to victory in the Grade Two Betting World Oaks (2400m) at Clairwood in South Africa.
Trained by Mike de Kock and ridden by Anthony Delpech, Tajmeel relished the step up to 2400 metres, having finished a staying-on sixth in the Grade Two KRA Fillies Guineas (1600m) last month.
Tajmeel's overall record now stands at three wins from six starts. Like her sire, Tajmeel sports the Shadwell colours of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum.
Tajmeel follows in the footsteps of Triple Asset, Crucial, Speedy Leo and Specter as stakes winners for the promising young sire Nadeem who stands his first season in New Zealand at a fee of NZ$8,000 plus GST.
Nadeem sired a winning double at the meeting with three year-old colt Mujaarib scoring over a mile against older runners by three-quarters of a length. He is unbeaten in two starts.
