Significance In Otaki Gr.1 Result

With his dam residing on the farm and selling his half sister at Karaka last year we have always taken a keen interest in the fortunes of Nashville (Darci Brahma-Royal Kiss). It was immensely satisfying to see him claim a well deserved maiden Gr.1 win and in such emphatic fashion when successful in the Haunui Farm WFA Classic over 1600m at Otaki on Saturday. Royal Kiss is safely back in foal to Darci Brahma, we look forward to offering a full sibling at Karaka in 2015.

Mendoza (Towkay-Dusky Sound) backed-up from a second on debut at Hastings last month to record an impressive win in the El Cheapo Cars Maiden at Saturday’s feature Otaki meeting. Despite showing obvious signs of greenness the leggy Towkay 3YO-old showed considerable natural ability to extract himself from tight quarters just before the home turn and go on and win a lot easier than the winning one length margin suggested.

Nadeem’s great summer in Australia continued with another winner last week, when Dark Angel (Nadeem-Opaline by Jade Robbery) scored over 1050m in New South Wales on Friday. Dark Angel is yet another winner by Nadeem to carrying Mr Prospector in their female line - Nadeem’s latest stakes performer, the Gr.2 winning colt Happy Galaxy is another example.

Sir Ferrari (Testa Rossa – Generous Nature) ran second in the Macau 4YO Prelude on Saturday making this Little Avondales 7th Black Type performer so far this season.

Another great job by LA Stud, we have complete confidence in you guys
