The LA bred Electronic Million (Towkay-Gaysutina) took his stake earnings to just shy of $300,000 Aus with his win in the Gawler Cup on 12 September.
Towkay had two winners locally last week starting with the LA part owned Rampant (Toway-On Honeymoon) who scored a most tenacious win over 1200m at Rotorua while Acquit bought up career win number four and the sixteenth win in total by Towkay progeny from Sue Harty's mare Out On Bail when she took a 1355m event at Gore on 16 September.
LA will be taking a lovely O'Reilly yearling filly to next year's Karaka Select Sale for her breeder Alan Jackson, and in Australia yesterday Psyche (Zeditave-Oh Blue Angel) helped her half sisters pedigree page when taking an 1100m event in NSW - her third career success.
Not even the impost of 60kgs could stop the LA bred Grand Dancer (No Excuse Needed-Clermont Rose) record his second victory from his last three starts in Hong Kong with a win over 1400m at Sha Tin last Saturday evening. LA has a Darci Brahma colt from Clermont Rose to offer at this summer's Karaka Premier Sale.
Speaking of Darci Brahma, LA were chuffed to see the colt we bred from Miss Moneytree run second in a 800m heat at the Randwick trials today. Named Darci's Money the Paul Murray trained colt was a $100,000 purchase from our Karaka Select draft earlier this year.
Foals by the likes of High Chapparal, O'Reilly, Darci Brahma and Towkay feature amongst the 19 new arrivals so far this season on the farm. A standout recent foal has been the Towkay colt from client John Gilbert's Prized mare Jabeske.
