Wins Enhance Australian Record

On the back of another very successful domestic season, Per Incanto’s winning double in Australia this week has also served to highlight something of a breakthrough season across the Tasman for the Street Cry stallion.

Earlier in the season, outstanding three-year-old sprinter Saracino (Per Incanto-Bella Daniela by O’Reilly) became Per Incanto’s first Australian group winner with an all the way win in the 1200m Group 2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington while former Group 1 winning two-year-old Dal Cielo (Per Incanto-Cent From Heaven by Centaine), on the back of a brace of Sydney sprint wins for new trainer Kris Lees, found only one better in a Group 3 1200m during the Sydney Championships.

In addition, promising Sydney winner Lanciato (Per Incanto-Surreptitious by O’Reilly) and eight other individual Australian winners during the season under review have continued to build on their sires reputation across the Tasman, the strength of which was emphasised earlier this year when Victorian trainer John McArdle topped the Karaka Select Sale, paying $300,000 for the Per Incantofilly from the Pins mare Grable and Queensland’s LB Racing signed for the 6th highest price lot, the Per Incanto colt from the Danasinga mare Da Vinci Code.

Closer to home, the LA and Don Gordon bred mare Hot Tempo (Per Incanto-Danse Sauvage by Montjeu) recorded her third win of the season when successful over 1600m at Timaru on Sunday.
