16th Stakes Performer for Per Incanto this Season

Per Incanto has featured prominently in many of the late summer and early autumn black type events and this continued at Riccarton Park on Saturday when he supplied two of the place getters in the 1600m Listed Easter Stakes.

Last season’s dual Guineas winner Lightning Jack (Per Incanto-La Petite by Savabeel) gave his sire his 16th stakes performer for the season when he rattled home for a very close second in the Easter Stakes, just edging out dual Gr.3 winner Belle Fascino (Per Incanto-Playing For Keeps by Keeper) who added a sixth stakes performance to her decorated CV.

For good measure evergreen sprinter Rocanto (Per Incanto-Romantic Liaisons by Danasinga) took out the days feature sprint over 1000m. A 2YO stakes winner and Gr.1 placed, the Dame Lowell Goddard bred gelding has proven to be a consistent performer with Saturdays success, his 10th, taking his stage earnings over $300,000.
Excellence, under-pinned by a good public profile that is down to earth and friendly
