18th Stakes Winner Emphasises Nadeems value

Few stallions in NZ can compare with Nadeem for his ability to leave a stakes winner and he’s certainly unique in this role for a sire who stands at $4,000 plus GST. On Friday, the son of Redoute’s Choice secured an 18th black-type winner when Victory Eight (Nadeem-Queen’s Colours by Rainbow Quest) scored in the (1400m) Wayne Wilson Quality Handicap in Queensland on Friday.

Victory Eight, a $30,000 purchase from the 2015 Karaka Select Sale, joins the LA bred Tinkalicious (Nadeem-Tinkermia by Johar) as stakeswinners for Nadeem in 2020.

Further south in NSW on Friday, Per Incanto’s good Australian run continued with a most impressive debut performance by the Lib Petagna bred Lost and Running (Per Incanto-Dreamlife by Danroad). Starting a short-priced favourite after a Randwick trial win earlier this month, the 3YO won as he liked, setting a course record for the 1000m of 56 seconds, despite sitting three and four wide throughout.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
