9 Length Win Has Tongues Wagging

Impressive enough to see ANZ Bloodstock News rate it the best Maiden win In Australia for the week, the LA bred three-year-old filly Flawlessly (Pins-Heureka) revelled in the step to a middle distance, recording a 9 length win over 2200m in Victoria last Friday. The filly was bought from our 2011 Sydney Easter Yearling Sale draft for $50,000.

Champion ex pat New Zealand trainer Laurie Laxon trained his 1000th winner when the LA bred 2YO Alan (Darci Brahma-Wake Up Suzie) was successful against the older horses over 1200m in Singapore on Friday. Laxon purchased the half brother to multiple Gr.1 placed Towkay mare Kay’s Awake and her promising Hong Kong brother Idyllic Wind from our 2012 Karaka Premier draft.

The LA bred 3YO Shotover River (Savabeel-Rivertaine) won over 1700m in Queensland on Friday for trainer John Meagher and his sons Chris and Dan.

Kallisan (Stratum-Eloa) made it two wins from three starts this preparation with her victory over 1200m in Singapore on Sunday. The LA bred mare was bought from our 2009 Karaka Premier draft by her trainer and part owner Stephen Gray.

And it would not be a week in Australian racing these days without winning Nadeem progeny and interestingly his latest winner Sarazen (Nadeem-Inertia by Danasinga), successful over 1200m in Queensland on Saturday, is 3 x 3 to Danehill.

Don’t forget our stallion and weanling parade this Sunday commencing at 10.30am. Directions here. Give Sam a call on 0274 853 400 if you can't make it and would like to book your own private viewing.
