LA Sires Lead The Way In Singapore

The dual stakes race meeting at Kranji on Sunday was notable for winning performances from Natural Nice (Towkay-Aspects of Love) and Live In Hope (Nadeem-Royal Yangtze).

Sixth in a Gr. 3 1800m contest at his previous start, trainer Laurie Laxon admitted that he erred in stepping Natural Nice well up in distance and the tough Towkay four-year-old vindicated the return to a more suitable trip to land a 1200m event on Sunday in 1.09.65.

Natural Nice was ridden to victory by three-time Singapore champion jockey Joao Moreira, who was most complimentary about his mount post race.

“I like this horse a lot. He’s not happy when he sees a horse in front of him, “said the Brazilian rider.

Nadeem 2YO Live In Hope beat the older horses over 1200m and Bale Star (Nadeem-Thanksgiving) almost made it a double for his sire when beaten into second in the feature race for three-year-olds over 1400m.

The results from Friday’s Marlborough meeting at Blenheim had a real LA flavour.

Our former stallion Zed sired the winners Do Uno Whoiam (Zed-Springvale Lass) and Billy Elliot (Zed-Let’s Boogie) while Ciskay (Towkay-Lycsis) was successful over 1400m.

This Friday we are taking Per Incanto (Street Cry-Papa Reale) to Karaka where he will parade from 10am. The stallion will then be available for inspection through until 1pm. Please contact LA 06 3775098 for any further details.

Organised and professional.
