Displaying some of the same tough qualities of his grand dam the incomparable Sunline, Per Incanto 3YO Magic Of The Sun (Per Incanto-Sunstrike by Rock Of Gibraltar) recorded his second win at just his fourth start when taking out the R65 1200m at Ruakaka on Saturday.
With just a week to go to complete the season Per Incanto is NZ’s leading sire of individual 3YO winners, three clear of his nearest challenger Savabeel.
Progressive 4YO gelding All Roads (Road To Rock-Dancing Daze by Dance Floor), who happened to relegate Magic Of The Sun to second when they clashed at Ruakaka three weeks ago, carried on his winning way at the same track on Saturday with a commanding performance to defeat a strong field in the R75 1400m.
Bred by LA’s and long standing friend and client Don Gordon, All Roads was a $40,000 purchase from our 2013 Karaka Select draft.
Another group of good friends and clients, who go by the breeding moniker The Spyglass Hill Syndicate, are the proud breeders of the very exciting galloper New York Minute (Iffraaj-Zenno Queen by Zeno Rob Roy), who latest win at New Plymouth on Saturday bought her winning margin over the second horse at her last two starts to an astonishing 21 lengths.
New York Minute was a $15,000 purchase by J Kelly from our weanling draft at the 2013 National Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale.
