Black Type Concludes Successful Week for Per Incanto

More domestic success, including a black-type placing, has lifted Per Incanto into the top three on the sires premiership while LA Karaka graduates book ended a successful days Premier racing at Trentham.

Under the steadier of 60kgs, the Sylvia Kay trained Group 3 winner Dolcetto (Per Incanto-Our Shiraz by Nediym) just missed adding more black-type to his impressive C.V with a second placing in the 1600m Group 3 Thompson Handicap, the days feature event at Trentham.

The Lisa Latta trained pair of Princess Amelie (Snitzel-Just Dancing by Fusaichi Pegasus) and Sir Nate (Nadeem-Just Diamonds by No Excuse Needed) may have booked their tickets for classic assignments at Riccarton next month with impressive winning performances at Trentham.

Princess Amelie and Sir Nate were $300,000 and $65,000 purchases respectively by the astute Awapuni horsewoman from LA’s 2017 Karaka draft.

And talking of the fairer sex, Per Incanto’s females have certainly been on a trot lately with Short Fuse’s (Per Incanto-Only Explosive by One Cool Cat) success at Pukekohe on Friday the fifth by a PI mare in a week which also saw Indecision (Per Incanto-Yeah Nah by Kinjite) narrowly beaten in the Group 3 mares race at Rotorua.
