Per Incanto colt Dal Cielo (Per Incanto-Cent From Heaven by Centaine) made a courageous Australian debut with a third place finish in the Group 3 Guineas Prelude at Caulfield . The top weight never had any peace in front, yet was only run down late in a performance that is exciting for connections going forward to the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas in a fortnight. Interestingly the two horses that sat outside and behind him finished 10 lengths further back.
Dal Cielo’s performance follows Bob Of The Head’s (Per Incanto-Can’t Keeper Down by Keeper) win in Victoria earlier this month.
