Deserved Cup Cuccess For Towkay Mare

With a career record of ten wins and 15 minor placings from 63 starts the LA and Sue Harty bred Acquit (Towkay-Out On Bail) epitomises many of the best attributes of the stock of her sire. Her latest win came in last weeks $15,000 Wyndham Cup over 2000m.

The fastest time of the 171 horses who galloped on the first day of the breeze-ups at Te Rapa last week in preparation for next months Ready To Run Sale, belonged to a Towkay gelding from Tereshkina. Only two horses managed to beat that time on the second day when a tail wind saw faster average times.

LA’s Ready To Run entries galloped well and were impressive. Have a look at LOT 116 – Savabeel/Generous Nature gelding, LOT 210 – Darci Brahma/Miss Moneytree colt and LOT 229 – Pentire/Nikki’s Bride who will all be sold from the Lyndhurst Farms draft.

Haiti (Nadeem-Ancelin) won over 1100m in Victoria last week while Naddem’s unbeaten son Mujaarib is nominated for the Grade 2 Charity Mile in South Africa this Sunday.

The LA bred My Quilter (Pins-Sound Lover) was a winner over 1200m in Queensland last Friday.

Congratulations to Gary Hennessy and his team for an outstanding win in the Group One Cox Plate with Ocean Park, capping a great day for the kiwi breds at Moonee Valley.

Excellent stallions
