Group 3 Winner for Time Test

A Group 3 winner as a juvenile, German trained Time Test colt Rocchigiani franked some strong three-year-old form to impressively land the 1600m Group 3 Bonhams Thoroughbred stakes at Goodwood in the UK on Friday.

A gallant runner-up behind the smart English colt Maljoom in the German 2000 Guineas at his penultimate start, Rocchigani went into the Goodwood event off a solid 5th placing in a Group 3 event at Royal Ascot.

Rocchigiani is one of five black type winners already for his sire Time Test, which include recent New Zealand 2YO stakes winner Leedox.

Time Test, whose oldest New Zealand crop are 3YO as at 1 August, will stand the upcoming season at LA for a service fee of $10,000 plus GST.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
