Armada (Towkay- Dance In Time) was a typically courageous second to the current Hong Kong superstar Good Ba Ba in Sunday's Group One Champions Mile at Sha Tin. 

Good Ba Ba's subsequent consideration by international handicapping authorities for elevation to join Weekend Hustler at the top of the International Milers Classification puts Armada's performance and rating in real perspective. 

The pedigree page of LA client Justice Lowell Goddard's broodmare Heidi Fleiss got a lot more darker print, with the performances of Reigning To Win (King of Kings- Secret Liaisons) and his half brother Running to Win at Randwick on Saturday - Heidi Fleiss is the mother of Secret Liaisons. Reigning to Win was a brave second to Apache Cat in the Group One TJ Smith Stakes and the promising Running to Win, third in the Listed Carbine Club Stakes. 

Hats off to Murray Baker for an outstanding training performance with Nom Du Jeu, winner of last Saturday's Group One AJC Derby at Randwick. It's been a great season for NZ breds in the major Australian races this season with the quinella in Saturday's Derby on the heels of earlier wins in the Cox Plate, VRC Derby, Melbourne and Caulfield Cups. 

Rios ( Hussonet-Gussy Godiva) a $65,000 purchase from LA's Karaka 2006 Premier draft for breeders Mick and Arthur Ormond, ran with great credit in the Derby finishing midfield. A Rosehill group two runner-up in his derby lead-up, Rios has the makings of a top older horse. 

The recent form of Pinnacles has highlighted the class of his immediate female family, one shared with a resident broodmare at LA, Steluta. Pinnacles (Fuji Kiseki-Galroof) has developed from seemingly just a handy Victorian sprinter miler to a potential top liner as evidenced by his third in one of the toughest mile races in the world, Saturday's time honoured Group One Doncaster Handicap in Sydney. A half sister to Galroof, Steluta who just last week was the dam of the $300,000 Savabeel colt sold by us on breeder Ricky Savory's behalf at the Sydney Easter Yearling Sale, has an outstanding Pins weanling colt.
