Hong Kong Double for Per Incanto

Per Incanto’s claim for consecutive Hong Kong sires premierships looks well placed after siring a winning double at Happy Valley on Wednesday.

The John O’Brien bred Triple Triple and the Brown Thoroughbreds bred Jade Phoenix were too good for their rivals over 1200m and 1650m respectively.

For good measure, Per Incanto’s only other runner on the card, Dark Alley, ran second over 1200m.

With 15 individual winners, Per Incanto is five winners clear of second placed Deep Field on the Hong Kong sires premiership for winners, a title he secured in 20/21 with 17 individual winners, which was four more than Exceed and Excel and Snitzel.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
