The manner of Regency Bo Bo’s (Denman – Tsukioka by Flying Spur) winning performance at Sha Tin on Sunday was such that the LA bred 4YO looks a fair bet to add considerably to his four-win record in the former British colony.
From a half sister to Group 1 Hong Kong Mile winner Glorious Days and from the family of H.K Group 3 winner Kildare, interest in the Denman colt in LA’s Premier draft at the 2015 Karaka Yearling Sale was high with Cambridge bloodstock agent Stu Hale eventually securing the colt for Hong Kong clients for $400,000.
Tsukioka, the dam of Regency Bo Bo, has made an encouraging start to her broodmare career. Her second foal is the promising 3YO Savabeel filly Okoto, while her third foal, a Per Incanto colt was bought by Bruce and Maureen Harvey from LA’s Book 2 draft at this year’s Karaka Sale for $150,000.
Meanwhile Per Incanto has begun the week in fine style with two new winners, taking him to 38 individual winners for the season, behind only Savabeel, Darci Brahma and Iffraaj on the N.Z premiership.
