Semari (Sebring-Kumari by Zabeel) strengthened her claims for a crack at the AJC Oaks recording another comprehensive win in Victoria on Thursday.
Coming off a five length win over 1600m at her previous start, Semari appreciated the step to 2000m at Pakenham, pulling away over the closing stages despite been posted three-wide without cover for a good part of the race.
Bred by LA, JML Bloodstock and Jim Barlow, Semari was purchased from LA’s draft at the 2016 Sydney Easter Yearling Sale by Tru Blu Bloodstock and her trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young. LA has another outstanding draft of five yearlings heading to next month’s Sale including a close relation to Semari by boom stallion Snitzel.
