Stakes Trifecta for Little Avondale

Stakes Trifecta for Little Avondale

A well deserved Group 1 success to an LA Karaka graduate, a new stakes winner for Nadeem and consecutive black-type wins for Per Incanto’s latest star; it’s been a memorable weekend for LA and some special clients.

Perhaps it was the first-crop sire syndrome but there wasn’t a lot not to like about the Mastercraftsman-Roseario yearling LA took to Karaka in 2013 for his breeder the late Robyn Horton and is raced by Mike Brown. Passed in just shy of his reserve, Saint Emilion’s success in the Group 1 2000m Bonecrusher Stakes at Ellerslie on Saturday was due reward for the extremely genuine middle distance galloper.

Karavali (Nadeem-Just Diamonds by No Excuse Needed) bought-up an Australian black-type double for LA sires when she took out the Group 3 1600m Aspiration Quality at Randwick on Saturday and in the process provided Nadeem with his 15th individual stakes winner. The four-year-old mare was bred by Brown and Fusion Thoroughbreds and raised at LA.

And on Friday afternoon, the LA and Lib Petagna bred Lanciato (Per Incanto-Surreptitious by O’Reilly) staked a serious claim for the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap when he produced another dazzling last to first home straight sprint to win the Group 3 1400m Newcastle Newmarket, his second consecutive Australian stakes success.

Confidence in knowing that buying an LA product it has being raised properly and with their record of success in black-type racing you have a better than even chance of the horse competing at the pinnacle of Australasian racing
