LA Runners in Million Races Highlight Value in LA Karaka Drafts

With two runners in Saturdays evening’s Karaka Million races sold from LA Karaka drafts and a third bred by the farm, LA interest in the two feature Ellerslie events will be high.

Group 2 Hawkes Bay Guineas winner Hard Merchandize, a colt sold on behalf of his breeders Christopher and Susanna Grace from LA’s 2016 Karaka draft to his trainer Gary Vile for $38,000 starts in the Karaka Million Three Year Old Classic.

The Karaka Million Two Year Old features the stakes winning Nadeem colt Sir Nate, sold on behalf of his breeders Brown and Fusion Thoroughbreds from our 2017 draft to his trainer Lisa Latta for $65,000, while one of the leading fancies, Nirvana In Fire, was bred by the farm.

Also Rosie McLeod is one of the owners in the Hattie Bee syndicate who is trained by David and Emma-Lee Browne.

LA kicks off its 2018 NZB National Yearling Sales Series on Sunday evening with LOT 40, an outstanding Savabeel colt from the farms stakes winning racemare Aspinal.

With 42 yearlings on offer buyers investment in an LA yearling is a sound value for money exercise as evidenced by the farms representation in this year’s Million races.
Excellent stallions
