Morethanlucky’s (Per Incanto-Viking Angel by Viking Ruler) effort for third in Sunday’s Group 1 Classic Mile at Sha Tin is a timely result for his sire who has 40 yearlings carded for sale at the 92nd NZB National Yearling Sale Series which gets underway at Karaka this Sunday.
Dragging the field up to a tear away leader, Morethanlucky fought bravely in the straight with his performance lifting his Hong Kong rating to 92. The four-year-old son of Per Incanto has won four races and placed twice from six starts this season.
Per Incanto’s tally of individual NZ winners for the season went to 30 with an easy win by his LA and Nicole Smyth bred four-year-old daughter Indecision (Per Incanto-Yeah Nah by Kinjite) at Avondale on Wednesday.
