LA's Super Saturday

Per Incanto’s outstanding Australian season continued on Saturday with the son of Street Cry almost managing to snare the feature sprints at both Brisbane and Sydney, while domestically, his fleet footed filly Beltoy (Per Incanto-Gee Baby by Exploding Prospect) backed up a recent 11 length win with a six length success at New Plymouth.

Class sprinter Amanaat (Per Incanto-Mazji by General Nediym) opened a new campaign on a winning note in the open sprint at Doomben, his ninth win in 13 career starts and the eighth from his last nine starts.

Meanwhile 900 kilometres to the south, Per Incanto’s Group 1 winning sprinter Dal Cielo (Per Incanto-Cent From Heaven by Centaine) appreciated the better track conditions to defeat all but his highly rated stable mate Tactical Advantage in the July Sprint at Randwick.

It was a great day for LA graduates starting with Nirvana In Fire (Showcasing) taking out the 2YO race at Te Rapa followed by the pair Strolling Vagabond (Darci Brahma) and Time Bomb (Towkay) winning at New Plymouth.

The icing on the cake for the farms successful Saturday came with New York Minute’s (Iffraaj-Zeno Queen by Zeno Roby Roy) win in the Listed 1400m Opunake Cup at New Plymouth, her second consecutive black-type victory. Bred by the Spyglass Hill Syndicate, New York Minute was a $15,000 purchase from the LA draft at the 2013 National Weanling Sale.
