LA Stallions Reward Local Breeders

Wairarapa breeders David and Deb Woodhouse certainly had a week to savour.

Last Thursday, Mormaire, a Per Incanto mare they bred and race, won at Otaki, while on the same day they sold a Time Test – You Little Ripa colt for $110,000 to Paul Moroney during the Book 2 session of the Karaka Yearling Sales.

Onto Saturday and progressive mare Belclare, also by Per Incanto and bred and raced by the couple, scored comprehensively in the Open 1400 at Trentham, her 6th win in her last 11 starts. The 5YO mare who now has stake earnings in excess of $123k has also placed on three occasions.

And rounding out a great weekend for Per Incanto's fairer sex, 4YO mare One More Time, raced by Stuart and Cherie Hope(pictured), led all the way to score in the 70k Open 1400 at Ellerslie on Sunday.

History, tradition, family, good values and lots of fun. Also when we inspect an LA yearling we do so with confidence in the horses’ upbringing, soundness and temperament. It’s a theory that has worked well because with Dominic we’ve bought the likes of Redeem The Dream and the stakeswinner Sir Lovesalot
