He may have finished a fast finishing third in Friday evenings G2 EW Barker Trophy, however Magnum’s (Per Incanto-Sound Loverby Sound Reason) effort to do so was one of the more significant talking points coming out of Singapore’s leading 1400m handicap event for older horses.
Once again plagued by another wide draw, the LA bred entire had to navigate his way through all of his 14 opponents from the home turn, eventually finishing just short of the winner of the G2 feature.
In 12 career starts he has netted four wins and over $350,000 in stakemoney; with placings in five black-type events, Magnum’s record is clearly evidence of his genuineness and class.
