One of the leading three-year-olds in Singapore last season, Magnum (Per Incanto-Sound Lover by Sound Reason) showed his preparation for upcoming black-type races was on target with a winning return at Kranji on Sunday afternoon.
Never out of a dividend bearing placing in his nine career starts, Magnum has now taken his record to four wins, three seconds and two thirds for stake earnings of in excess of $320,000 for owners the Wexford Stable.
Magnum’s latest performance capped another great week for Per Incanto which saw wins domestically to Cantare (Per Incanto-Nannerl by Le Bec Fin) and the LA and Don Gordon bred Hot Tempo (Per Incanto-Danse Sauvage by Montjeu), while Bob of the Head (Per Incanto-Can’t Keeperdown by Keeper) and Satellite Man (Per Incanto-Double Okay by Towkay) were successful in Victoria and Singapore respectively.
Co-incidentally Satellite Man’s win in Singapore on Friday was part of an LA connected treble on races two, three and four. LA happen to now be breeding from the dam of Di Caprio (Pins-Clermont Princess by Towkay), while the third winner Over Easy (Darci Brahma-Southern Cry by Kaapstad) was bred by LA, Don Gordon and Opuatia Farms.
