Our Harmony (Nadeem-Pantenny by Canny Lad) pictured left, maintained her impressive strike rate when successful over 1100m at Caulfield on Saturday. With her latest performance the David Brideoake bred, trained and part owned three-year-old has the imposing record of five wins, two minor placings and $182,000 in prizemoney from just nine career starts.
Pedigree buffs will be interested to note that Our Harmony is line bred to the wonderful matron Best In Show. Local breeders could replicate this successful pattern with mares by O’Reilly, Towkay, Alamosa, Patapan or Theywayyouare.
Continuing an impressive season by Nadeem’s three-year-old crop, his filly Zaveena (Nadeem-Paris Return by Cozzene), racing out of her grade, ran out a comfortable winner over 1700m in New South Wales on Monday. Nadeem (Redoute’s Choice-Candide by Sound Reason) has a better than 50% winners to runners ratio in Australia this season with his three-year-olds.
Two horses the farm in partnership returned to the winning circle in Australia over the weekend: Cosmo King (Elusive City-Shahiid by Pentire), co-bred with RJ and SJ Greaves and Towkash (Towkay-Ashley Downs by Grosvenor), bred in partnership with our dear friend Pip McCarroll.
