Nadeem’s first N.Z conceived winner came in exciting fashion, when the Don Gordon and Bryan Hutchinson bred Heisenberg (Nadeem-Nikki’s Bride by O’Reilly) led all the way to impressively win the two-year-old event at Otaki on Thursday.
A member of Nadeem’s oldest N.Z crop, the Roydon Bergerson trained and Bergerson family owned gelding was secured from the Little Avondale 2015 Karaka Select Sale draft for $30,000.
Not to be out done by his barn mate, Per Incanto had his second winner in 24 hours at Otaki when Ron Cunningham’s Group 3 placed three-year-old Shadows Cast (Per Incanto-Ages Past by Slavic) ran out an authorative winner of the R65 1200m. The Mark Oulaghan trained gelding is right on target for next Saturday’s Go Racing Wellington Guineas where one of his rivals is expected to be Bella Court (Per Incanto-Belle Chantecler by Redoute’s Choice), twice runner-up at Group 3 level this season.
