New Stakes Horses For Per Incanto And Nadeem

Two horse necks came between Per Incanto and Nadeem registering their 4th and 14th individual stakeswinners at Trentham and Rosehill Gardens respectively on Saturday.

Appreciating getting back on a firm track, the inexperienced Glorious Beijing (Per Incanto-Summer Nymph by Danske) defied his tote odds to have The Justice League all out to hold him at bay in the 1400m Group 2 Go Racing Syndications Wellington Guineas.

Glorious Beijing, who was having only his third start on Saturday, is Per Incanto’s third new individual stakes placed performer in the last four weeks.

Across the Tasman, Nadeem’s strong start to the year which has already seen him register two individual Australian group winners continued when the lightly raced four-year-old mare Lucky Can Be (Nadeem-Yes She Can Cancan by Canny Lad) rocketed home up the inside to finish second in the 1200m Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes in Sydney.

While across in Perth, Nadeem’s progressive sprinting son Regal Commander (Nadeem- Suspicion by Mukddaam ) continued his picket line formline with another winning performance over 1400m. The Bob Peters bred and owned four-year-old who has now won four of his last five starts, took his stake-earnings to the cusp of $200K with his latest victory.

Trentham on Oaks day was still a happy hunting ground for the farm however with the wonderfully consistent Santiago (Towkay-Kintyre Lil by Casual Lies) taking the R75 2000m and Jacksstar (Zed-Star Guest by Pentire), whose success in the 2500m Listed Lincoln Farm New Zealand St Leger gave Zed his 6th individual stakeswinner.
