Per Incanto Colt On Track for Group 1

Stakes winning 2YO Little Brose (Per Incanto – by Mohegan Sky by Straight Man) produced the perfect dress rehearsal for the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes when he finished strongly for 2nd in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude at Sandown on Saturday.

Runner-up on debut in a Group 3 event and a Listed winner at his only subsequent start, the David Wallace bred Per Incanto colt made ground stylishly from back in the field on a day when most horses struggled to come from off the pace.

Little Brose was a $200,000 purchase by his trainers Ben and JD Hayes from the Sledmere draft at the 2022 Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale. Per Incanto has three yearlings to sell at this week's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale which gets underway on Sunday, including lot 181 on behalf of Buzz and Susie Williams, a smashing colt by the Exceed and Excel mare Urban Royal.
