Momentum Carries Over Into Book 2

The excellent results enjoyed by LA in Book 1 carried over into Book 2 and the final three days of the 2023 NZB National Yearling Sale.

Only one of the farms large Book 2 draft will be returning to the Wairarapa and the very high clearance rate was complemented by some nice prices, particularly for some of the farms clients.

On behalf of Brown thoroughbreds LA sold their Ardrossan colt from the Per Incanto mare la Sartiglia for $135,000 to Hong Kong.

And in probably the highlight result of the week for the farm, the staff sold their gorgeous Time Test filly from Great Expectations for $85,000, making a tidy profit on the $15,000 they paid for her as a weanling.

A big vote of thanks to all the purchasers of our yearlings over the week and it's always reassuring to see the likes of Bruce Perry, Phil Cataldo, Allan Sharrock, John Foote (twice) and Tom Dabernig buying your Book 2 yearlings.

The yearling sale attention now turns to the Sydney Classic Sale which gets underway on February 11. LA has two Per Incanto fillies and a Per Incanto colt being presented by Sledmere Stud.
