Per Incanto Mare Rewarding Patience

Foxton six-year-old mare Marotiri Molly trained by Matt Dixon trained continued her progression through the classes with another strong win over 1400m at Otaki on Saturday.

A common denominator in the success of many of the better performed Per Incanto mares has been the number that were very patiently handled through their early careers and the continual improvement season by season as older horses.

Marotiri Molly had her first race day start as a late-season four-year-old,  finishing sixth on a heavy surface at Otaki. Since then, the B and C Parlato bred and owned mare has raced eight times for four wins and two second placings, for stake earnings of $91,000.

Another promising CD galloper is the Ardsley stud bred Cheval de Fudre. Stepping up in distance at just his second start in a new campaign, the tall, rangy Time Test five-year-old gelding took his stake earnings to just shy of $100,000 when he recorded his third success in 12 career starts, winning over 2100m at Otaki on Saturday.

LA have three lovely Per Incanto fillies being presented at the NZB Ready to Run Sale at Karaka on 20 and 21 November.

Offered in conjunction with JML Bloodstock, Lot 259 is closely related to Per Incanto’s $4.5 million earner Lost And Running. Lot 270 is a full sister to the five-time Australian winner Castillian, who won recently at Eagle Farm, and Lot 273 is a full sister to promising Hong Kong galloper Pachisi.
