Per Incanto Sale Popularity Continues

Per Incanto’s run of sale success in 2019 continued at this week’s NZB RTR Sale.

A growing Hong Kong reputation for his progeny underpinned strong buyer support with his two top priced lots on the final day both likely destined for the former British colony.

Cambridge Bloodstock’s Gary Carvill paid $325,000 for the colt from the Danasinga mare Demerara on behalf of Hong Kong trainer Peter Ho and $330,000 for the colt from Zabeel mare Dreaming.

Carvill has had success with Per Incanto progeny he’s sourced from Karaka.

“I bought the first one out of here when nobody even knew who Per Incanto was,” he said. “He turned out to be Baba Mama who went to Class 2 in Hong Kong, he is a good horse.”

“They are going well up there at the moment and we have had a lot of luck with them.”

The Dreaming colt attracted considerable interest from Hong Kong buyers.

“Hong Kong were underbidders” said Carvill. “They have got a good market up there for them (Per Incanto’s) at the moment.”

Per Incanto has now sold 52 horses from his 2017 foal crop (off a service fee of $15,000) across Australasian sales in 2019 for the outstanding average of $107,000.
