Stallion Set to Seal LA Success at Ready to Run Sale
Hot on the heels of a spectacular 2019 for resident sire Per Incanto, Masterton’s Little Avondale Stud are excited heading into this week’s NZB Ready To Run Sale.
Spread between two of NZ’s leading consignors of ready to race horses, Riversley Park and Kilgravin Lodge, Little Avondale’s draft of six 2YOs include five colts by Per Incanto, second leading active sire on the NZ premiership in 2018/19 and already a clear cut leader for individual winners this season.
In the short space of time Riversley Park’s Sam Beatson has been operating on his own account, the Ohaupo horseman has fashioned an outstanding record at the NZB RTR Sale. On behalf of LA and Masterton client Ralph Fauvel, Riversley Park has one of the standout Per Incanto colts in the sale.
Running the second quickest breeze will have guaranteed LOT 128, the Per Incanto colt from the stakes winner Princess Annaliese plenty of interest but the Hong Kong debut of his full brother a fortnight ago will have heightened that considerably. Despite missing the start over 1000m, Here Comes Ted stormed home for third in an eye catching performance.
LOT 94, a strongly built Showcasing colt from a black-type 2YO and sprinting family completes Riversley’s consignment on behalf of LA.
A long time supporter of Kilgravin Lodge, LA is once again delighted to support Eion Kemp’s burgeoning Matamata operation with four Per Incanto colts.
All four colts bring pedigrees that are proven to work successfully with Per Incanto. A solidly built colt, LOT 83 is from a half sister to the stakes winner and Group 1 placed Rocanto, while LOT 106, an equally well muscled youngster, from a winning Stratum mare, features the duplication of blue hen mare Best In Show.
Rounding out the quartet are two colts by dam sires who are proving to be very potent when bred to Per Incanto. LOT 291, from the super family of Black Mamba and Glorious Days etc, is out of a Danasinga mare, that successful Danehill Street Cry cross, with four stakes winners to date, while LOT 303 is from the Keeper mare and NZ Oaks runner-up Can’t Keeper Down.
With 40 Per Incanto youngsters sold across Australasian yearling sales in 2019 for an average of $100,000, NZB’s 2019 RTR Sale promises to be another exciting one for the proven sire. Click here to view the RTR 2019 LA draft.
