Per Incanto Sprinter Undefeated in Last Four in Hong Kong

Exciting sprinter Duke Wai (Per Incanto-Swan Lake by Green Perfume) made it four from four when successful in the Class 2 1200m event on the Group 1 card at Sha Tin on Sunday.

The Paul O’Sullivan trained, and Waikato Stud bred 4YO used the same speed that had taken him to three successive wins over 1000m, sprinting quickly to dive bomb the leaders after clearing horses late in the home straight.

Duke Wai’s winning time of 1.08.56 was slightly quicker than Beat the Clock (Hinchinbrook) recorded to win the 1200m Group 1 Centenary Sprint.

Per Incanto currently sits just outside the top 10 on the Hong Kong sires premiership, with Darci Brahma the only NZ stallion ahead of him.

Duke Wai is Per Incanto’s tenth individual winner in the last nine days

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
