Per Incanto Talent Ripening Nicely

Dolcetto (Per Incanto-Our Shiraz by Nediym) again displayed his unquestionable talent with a quite staggering performance to land the $50,000 Hanley Formula Autumn Sprint Championship at Trentham on Saturday.

Drawing the widest in the 13 horse field looked to have cost the Sylvia Kay trained four-year-old any chance of success as those inside him blocked his momentum down the outside fence early in the run home. Forced to shift ground appreciably, the attractive brown Per Incanto gelding wasn’t to be denied, powering home through the middle of the track to overhaul Lisa Latta’s stakeswinning charge Manhattan Street.

Bred and raced by Sylvia and her husband, and Dr’s H and W Bishop, Saturday’s success gave Dolcetto the enviable record of four wins and two seconds ( both to Lib Petagna’s very promising mare Francaletta at last year’s Hawkes Bay Spring Carnival) from seven career starts.

They cover all bases and do everything with pride and passion, be it raising their horses, to their staffs attire, to the way they treat clients and visitors
