Per Incanto's 32nd Stakes Winner

Per Incanto's 32nd Stakes Winner

Two extremely tough and talented individuals combined to give Per Incanto his 32nd individual stakeswinner in the Group 2 Manawatu Challenge Stakes at Trentham on Saturday.

It's well known how challenging Marotiri Molly was as a younger horse for her Levin trainer Matt Dixon, however his skill and patience have certainly worked the oracle with the 6YO Per Incanto mare blossoming this season.

Having just her 12th career start, Marotiri Molly has, like a lot of Per Incanto mares, really improved with maturity, and her inaugural black type success was well-deserved as she was coming off three wins and a Group 2 third placing in her previous four starts.

Hawke's Bay jockey Kate Hercock rode Marotiri Molly brilliantly, hunting her out of the barriers and getting her to relax outside the leader before exposing her toughness, sending her to an unassailable lead at 300m.

Bred an owned by B and C Parlato, Marotiri Molly has won six of her 12 career starts, for stake earnings in excess of $220k.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
