Mare Continues Per Incanto's Outstanding Australian Season

Two constants these days are Per Incanto having a Saturday Australian metropolitan winner and his fairer sex improving like classic Bordeaux.

Following the stylish fresh up success by the 6YO mare Mrs Chrissie (Per Incanto – Turf Fire by O’Reilly) in the feature sprint on last Saturday’s Ballarat Cup card, this Saturday’s impressive Caulfield Heath winner Marble Arch (Per Incanto-Jonquil by Sakhee’s Secret) certainly fits the same bill.

Bred by Goodwood Stud, the 5YO mare clearly relished the step to 1500m at Caulfield, only the third time in her career she’s been tried further than 1400m, with the two other occasions producing a win and a second placing, giving weight, to subsequent Group 2 winner Another Wil.

Marble Arch’s record now stands at seven wins and three minor placings from 18 career starts, for stake earnings of AUS $456k.

Per Incanto currently sits inside the top 10 on the Australian Sires Premiership and is the leading NZ based sire.

Per Incanto’s 2025 Karaka draft comprises 16 fillies, including LA’s daughter of Group 1 winner Fleur De Lune (offered on behalf of Elizabeth and Peter Martin), a filly from a half sister to Melody Belle and a half sister to last seasons Champion NZ 2YO Velocious.
