Pushy Remains Unbeaten

Pushy

Promising Time Test 3YO Pushy (Time Test-Angel Child by Annaba) remained unbeaten after winning over 1600m at Newcastle on Friday.

Bred by Stephanie Hole and a $60k purchase by Mick Wallace from the Wentwood Grange 2022 Karaka Book 1 draft, Pushy handled the step to 1600m in fine style drawing away to beat a field of 3 and 4YO’s by four lengths. Pushy has won all three of his career starts and has stake earnings of 60k.

Pushy is expected to be given a deserved opportunity at black type over the Sydney Spring Carnival.

Time Test has produced 12 winners from 19 runners in Australia to date, including 2 stakes performers, a record one may legitimately expect to improve significantly, especially as the likes of Pushy and The Year’s continue to get deeper into their 3YO campaigns.

Time Test stands this SH season at LA for a service fee of $10,000 plus GST.

The Newcastle Cup meeting on Friday also saw an outstanding last to first performance from the Per Incanto filly Allapercanto (Per Incanto-Allawara by Von Costa De Hero). Trained by John, Wayne and Michael Hawkes, the 3YO filly, a 120k purchase from the 2022 Inglis Ready2Race Sale, was having just her second start having run second on debut at Kembla Grange. Interestingly Allapercanto is bred on a very similar pattern to Per Incanto’s dual Group 1 winner Roch N Horse: from a grandson of Encosta De Lago out of a Danzig line mare.
