Star Broodmare Toasts More Success

Christine and Pete Algie had some memorable moments racing the full relations Jacksstar and Anniesstar and while they aren’t in the ownership of the duo’s half -brother Bourbonaire, an impressive winner on debut of the Fairview Motors 1200m 3YO at Matamata on Saturday, there’s still plenty of motivation for the Wairarapa couple to follow the fortunes of the Darci Brahma colt just as intently.

Should Bourbonaire ultimately succeed at black-type level he’ll give the Algies broodmare gem Star Guest the unique achievement of leaving three stakes winners.

Bourbonaire, bred by the Algies in partnership with LA, was a $120,000 purchase from LA’s 2019 Karaka Book 1 draft by Marsh Racing for Dennis Foster who heads the Bourbon Lane partnership.

Confidence in knowing that buying an LA product it has being raised properly and with their record of success in black-type racing you have a better than even chance of the horse competing at the pinnacle of Australasian racing
