Glorious Ghaiyyath

The world’s top-rated galloper Ghaiyyath (Dubawi-Nighttime by Galileo) produced another devastating front running performance to win the ten furlong Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes at York on Thursday, his third Group 1 victory in succession.

Rated the top horse on last month’s Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings, the Dubawi five-year-old defeated a field which contained three other Group 1 winners this season including his paternal half-brother Lord North (Dubawi), who finished third, and 2000 Guineas victor Kameko.

Ghaiyyath, who is one of 43 Group 1 winners for his world-leading sire Dubawi, is bred on the same highly successful Dubawi/ Galileo cross that has also produced sire of the moment Night Of Thunder.

Little Avondale Stud stand the only son of Dubawi at stud in NZ, the dual Group 2 winner and Ascot track record breaker Time Test (Dubawi-Passage of Time by Dansili). Standing for a one-off service fee of $6,000 plus GST in 2020, Time Test’s book, which is limited to 130 mares, is almost full.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
