Australian Stakes Success for Per Incanto

Australian Stakes Success for Per Incanto

Saracino (Per Incanto-Bella Daniela by O’Reilly) franked some recent black-type form to land the Listed (1200m) Heineken Belmont Newmarket Handicap in Perth on Saturday.

The Lib Petagna bred 7YO had run second in a listed 1000m event at the same track on the 7th of July.

A former leading 3YO with multiple Group 2 wins including the Danehill Stakes at Flemington, a lot of credit for Saracino’s recent form must go to Perth’s Gamgeni Racing who purchased the gelding for $32,500 from an Inglis Digital Sale in 2018.

Gamgeni Racing, who operate a boutique stable in the Swan Valley just outside Perth, are regulars in the top 10 on the Perth trainers premiership despite their small numbers. The attention to detail certainly looks to have worked the oracle with Saracino.

A real sense of stockmanship and a love of the animal. When our mares arrive back from LA, they look like they’ve had a month at Club Med, with some of the trimmings of the buffet, but also the glow of having had the attention of a personal trainer
