Twice recipient of the NZ Broodmare of the Year award, Te Parae blue hen Sunbride was inducted into the NZ Racing Hall of Fame at a very well attended gala function in Hamilton on Sunday evening.
Sunbride was in illustrious company with Sunday’s event also inducting James McDonald, Sir Peter Vela, Let’s Elope, Mufhasa, Sir James Fletcher, Granny McDonald, Starcraft and Tommy George.
A service fee to Per Incanto was auctioned off on the evening with Australian breeders Francis and Christine Cook placing the winning bid of $30,000.
