Tauto Lifts the Bar

Well-related three-year-old Tauto Bar looks a horse to follow in the spring following his runaway success over 1200 metres at Moe for trainers Ben, Will and JD Hayes.

“He enjoyed being in front and gave me a really good kick,” successful rider Jamie Mott (pictured) said.

Co-bred by Little Avondale he was sold through the farm’s draft at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for A$325,000 and is out of the Encosta De Lago mare Lancashire Lass.

She is a half-sister to champion Hong Kong galloper and 10-time Group 1 winner Golden Sixty and has a yearling brother to Tauto Bay and is due to foal to Toronado.

A real sense of stockmanship and a love of the animal. When our mares arrive back from LA, they look like they’ve had a month at Club Med, with some of the trimmings of the buffet, but also the glow of having had the attention of a personal trainer
