Grid Girl (Time Test- Chic by Savabeel) made a winning Australian debut in Melbourne on Wednesday, while Te Akau’s LA bred filly Sense of Timing (Time Test- Pin Up Lae by Pins) added further black-type to her resume with a second placing in the Listed 1400m NZB Airfreight Stakes at Wingatui on Saturday.

Bred and formerly trained by Guy Lowry, Grid Girl was purchased by the leading stable of Ben, Will and JD Hayes after placing third at both of her local starts. The Time Test filly scored over 1400m at Sandown in a manner to suggest she’ll be targeting better races during the autumn.

After placing third at her previous start in the Listed Dunedin Guineas, Sense of Timing’s latest effort had a lot of merit after being held up for a greater part of the Wingatui straight.

Across the 13 day stretch between 16 and 28 February, Time Test registered an astonishing 13 individual winners worldwide.

Time Test’s 21 three-year-old NZ starters have produced eight individual winners of 14 races. Ace High has also had eight winners from the same number of starters.
