Yaldy Time will head for a break following the promising LA Stud graduate’s early breakthrough victory in heavy conditions at Otaki.
“He’ll got to the paddock for a few weeks now and come back for the spring, it was only his ability that got him through that track,” New Plymouth trainer Robbie Patterson said.
A son of Time Test(pictured), Yaldy Time had placed at his previous two appearances and is out of the former quality race performer Eloa, a daughter of Volksraad who has ceased breeding.
She won the G3 Gold Trail Stakes and Listed Champagne Stakes and nine of her 10 foals to race have now been successful.
