Towkay went within half a length of siring a double at the 23rd May Happy Valley meeting in Hong Kong after the LA bred Croesus (Towkay-Sonia Blade) was narrowly beaten into second placing over 1000m. This followed Ocean Roar (Towkay-Crystal Jet) winning over 1000m earlier on the card.
Despite been posted wide for a greater part of the 1200m event, debutant Jimmy Mac (Zed-Go Anna Go) was still too strong for a capacity maiden field at the 23rd May Waverley meeting. Jimmy Mac’s performance capped a strong week for Zed which had seen him leave a winner and a third placegetter at Trentham on 18 May.
Mr Smart (Nadeem-Hasnaael Reef) put back to back wins together with his latest success an easy three length victory in New South Wales over 1600m also on 23rd May.
