Towkay Sprinter Lands Victorian Feature

Smackdown (Towkay-Black Anna by Centaine), a winner in track record time in his only NZ start, gave young Mornington trainer Trent Pennuto his biggest success when he defeated a smart field to win the $100,000 1200m Golden Topaz in Victoria last week.

Locally the ever consistent Pencarrow bred Carmen Sandiego (Towkay-Masaniella by Mosad) broke through for her well deserved maiden success at Riccarton last Thursday, and registering the sixteenth win for Towkay in 30 days.

Nadeem too has had an unbelievable run of late. His very progressive filly Our Harmony (Nadeem- Pantenny by Canny Lad) bought up Nadeem’s fifteenth win in 30 days when she won again, this time over 1000m in Victoria on Monday, her fourth win in seven career starts.

Earlier Mings Man (Nadeem-Unrocel Tap by Geiger Counter) had won over 1100m in Singapore on Friday and Oakdale Royal (Nadeem-Kowtow by Shadeed) had been successful over 1800m in New South Wales on Sunday.

A change of stable looks to have worked the oracle with the LA bred Rapidus (Darci Braham-Rivertaine by Centaine), who was recording his fourth win in succession when he won in New South Wales on Monday.

Excellence, under-pinned by a good public profile that is down to earth and friendly
