Per Incanto, NZ’s second leading active sire in 2018/19, has started the new season strongly on both sides of the Tasman, with some exciting new talent sharing the limelight with an established performer.
Promising 3YO’s Makatabba (Per Incanto-Maraaseem by Redoute’s Choice) and Peak (Per Incanto-A Chance to Dream by Volksraad) resumed new campaigns with strong second placings in Victoria and New South Wales respectively on Thursday, while the LA and Kirsty Percy bred mare Kedah (Per Incanto-Malaya by Towkay) registered her third success in just seven career starts with another win in New South Wales on Tuesday.
Closer to home, Per Incanto sired a double at Otaki on Saturday highlighted by Mauna Kea’s (Per Incanto-City Class Rose by City On a Hill) typically gritty win in the 1400m open handicap. The Paul Moseley trained 6YO holds nominations for the Group 1 Windsor Park Plate and Livamol Classic.
