Winners continue for Per Incanto and Time Test

Per Incanto and Time Test continued their excellent starts to the season with both sires recording winners at Saturdays feature domestic meeting at Hawera.

Maratori Molly added to her budding resume when she led most of the way to win over 1400m for her trainer Matt Dixon and her owners and breeders B and C Parlato. The 6YO daughter of Per Incanto now has the excellent record of three wins and three minor placings from just eight career starts.

The Time Test filly Conello put herself in the frame for a potential trip to Christchurch for the 1000 Guineas when she defeated a field of progressive 3YO's over 1200m. Bred by David Woodhouse and HGT Bloodstock and owned by David and Bill Rutherford, Conello's latest success was her second in nine career starts.

It may have been a quiet weekend for representation across the Tasman but that changes next Saturday. Per Incanto has two probable runners in the Group One Caulfield Guineas, including one of the leading changes in last start Group 2 winner Evaporate, while impressive first up winner Jimmysstar looks set to start in a Listed event at the same meeting.

There is also another big weekend of black-type racing in Sydney next weekend, and dual Group One winner Belclare, whose saddle unfortunately slipped at her Sydney debut, looks a likely contender for any one of a couple of 1200m to 1400m black type events for fillies and mares after an impressive trial at Rosehill on Thursday. The 7YO daughter of Per Incanto made ground stylishly from the back of the field in her trial over 900m, which was taken out by Group One winner Overpass.
